
Caps Take Yuma Second Straight

Edmonton, AB - The Edmonton Capitals (10-8) won their second straight game on $2 Tuesday, defeating the Yuma Scorpions 6-4. Chris Little (1-1) had his best start of the season, pitching eight innings and allowing only one run. Little's strong performance insured the Capitals a series victory against the Yuma on Tuesday night and they will look for the series sweep tomorrow morning at 11:00am.
At the plate, the Caps were led by Canadian Aaron Hornostaj who went 3 for 4 with 4 RBI's including a 1,2 run double in the eighth. Garry Harris was moved to the second spot in the lineup and responded with a hit.
For the Scorpions, Ronald Ramirez (1-2) took the loss pitching 5 1/3 innings, allowing 2 runs on six Capital's hits and striking out 3.
The first ever Home Run Hooky will be hosted by the Edmonton Capitals at 11:00am on June 10th. 3500 elementary and Jr. High school kids will be playing hooky from class and spending their day at TELUS field watching the Caps take on the Yuma Scorpions.A huge thanks to the more than 60 Edmonton businesses that made it possible for school classes to attend June 10th's game.
