For the second weekend in a row, the 2nd ranked Madison Capitols (8-2-1) and the Green Bay Gamblers (5-4-0) will meet each other in an Eastern Conference showdown on World Record Flannel Night presented by FlannelJax's.
Last weekend, road teams triumphed both nights as the Caps and Gamblers split their home-and-home series each winning in their opponents respective rinks.
When playing in their home building, the Capitols have earned a league best 10 points. They have been dominant at Bob Suter's Capitol Ice Arena this season. With a home record of 5-1, Madison is averaging 4.8 goals per game at Capitol Ice while giving up an average of 2.5. On top of averaging 4.8 GPG at home, the Capitols have a league leading 51 goals on the 2021-22 campaign.
Offensively, the Capitols are lead by captain Jack Horbach and Boston University commit Jack Musa, each with 13 points. Musa, impressively, has registered a point in every single game so far this season netting eight goals and dishing out five helpers.
The Caps will look to continue their strong start to this young season on Saturday night when they drop the puck with Green Bay at 7:05 p.m.
