Madison Capitols News Release

Madison, WI - The Madison Capitols and Waterloo Black Hawks announced their second trade in less than a month, as the Capitols acquired defenseman Alex Robert (Novi, Mich.) and forward Marshall Moise (St. Claire Shores, Mich.) in exchange for Sam McCormick and Ryan Lohin.

A 20-year-old commit to Robert Morris University, Robert has 10 points and a +9 rating through 44 games this season with Waterloo. He has also accumulated 69 penalty minutes. In 137 USHL games, Robert has a +22 rating.

Moise, an 18-year-old commit to Ferris State University, has registered seven goals and added eight assists with Waterloo this season, his first full campaign in the USHL after playing a single game in Muskegon last season.

Additionally, the Capitols will receive future considerations from the Black Hawks.

Lohin departs the Capitols as the club's second all-time leading scorer, with 26 goals and 39 assists for 65 points in 108 games with Madison. Lohin was the first-ever tendered player in Capitols history in April of 2014.

McCormick goes down as the all-time leading goal scorer and point-getter in Capitols history as he moves to Waterloo. The 18-year-old Ohio State commit put up a Capitols' team record with 24 goals this season and 39 total over 107 games. His 73 total points are the most in team history.

The Capitols will complete their road binge next Friday and Saturday in Youngstown against the Phantoms at the Covelli Centre on March 4-5.

The Capitols then return home for a two-game weekend on Friday & Saturday, March 11-12, at the Alliant Energy Center for a pair of 7:05 p.m. puck drops against Sioux Falls and Youngstown respectively.
