Capitols to Wear Specialty Jerseys & Helmets for Alex's Frozen Lemonade Classic

Middleton, WI - The Madison Capitols are continuing the season of giving through a fundraising auction for the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation on January 11.
Special helmets designed by children from the local American Family Children's Hospital will be worn by players during the "Frozen Lemonade Classic" game, presented by Northwestern Mutual against the Muskegon Lumberjacks. The helmets will be auctioned off following the conclusion of the game, through the DASH Auction app, with the proceeds benefitting Alex's Lemonade Stand in its fight against childhood cancer.
Madison Capitols' President Andrew Joudrey said he believes this is a great opportunity to support a cause that impacts the lives of many individuals and families in the community.
"Cancer touches too many lives and to be able to take part in the fight against it right here at home is something we want to be a part of," Joudrey said.
The helmets have an array of designs from snowflakes to tropical beaches and there is even a Packers-themed one too.
Players will don specialty jerseys during the game alongside the helmets. The jerseys will also be included in the auction for attendees to bid on.
Joudrey said he is delighted to have been a part of making this event happen.
"The entire process has been uplifting for everyone," Joudrey said. "From the wonderful kids at the American Family Children's Hospital to the players, coaches, and staff here who have helped make it happen, it has helped put a smile on everyone's face knowing they are making a difference."
