MADISON, WI - The Madison Capitols, a member of the United States Hockey League, announced T.J. Jindra as the team's associate head coach and assistant general manager on Friday.

Jindra, 33, served as the assistant coach for the University of St. Thomas for the 2015-16 season. The team finished the season with a 13-8-5 overall record. Jindra has coached college hockey for six seasons, one with University of St. Thomas, four with University of Alaska-Anchorage, and one with University of Notre Dame.

"T.J. brings a lot of experience to the Capitols organization," said Capitols' General Manager and Head Coach Garrett Suter. "He has coached at both the college level and the prep school level, and we are excited to have him on board for the upcoming season."

Jindra, 33, spent four seasons coaching at the Division I level with the University of Alaska-Anchorage Seawolves, a member of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. During his first two seasons, the Seawolves skated to 9-25-2 and 4-25-7 records in 2011-12 and 2012-13, respectively. In 2013-14, Jindra helped guide the team to an 18-16-4 overall record, the first winning record for the Seawolves since the 1992-93 season. The team also advanced to the WCHA Final Five semifinal for the third time in team history during the 2013-14 season. Jindra completed his career at the University of Alaska-Anchorage during the 2014-15 season, and the team finished with an 8-22-4 record.

The Fighting Irish won the school's first-ever Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) Championship, and their first-ever CCHA Playoff Championship during Jindra's senior season.
