
Capitols Hockey Add Tom Gilbert to Staff

The Madison Capitols rounded out their coaching staff on Monday with the hiring of Tom Gilbert as the Director of Player Development & Assistant Coach.
"I'm excited for this opportunity to work with Corey and the Madison Capitols this year" says Gilbert. "Looking forward to help develop these young men to not only have success this year, but into the next levels of their hockey career."
"We are very excited to welcome Tom to our coaching staff" says Corey Leivermann. "Tom will bring a wealth of knowledge & his playing background to help develop our players in Madison".
Gilbert joins the Capitols after significant NHL career. Gilbert was a fourth round NHL draft pick by the Colorado Avalanche, he played over 600 NHL games. Gilber attended the University of Wisconsin, where he won a National Championship for the Badgers in 2005-2006.
Gilbert, originally from Bloomington, MN now resides in Madison, WI with his wife Larissa & 2 kids.
