Capitals Bring 19 Stingrays to Rookie and Training Camps

North Charleston, SC - The Washington Capitals, National Hockey League affiliate of the South Carolina Stingrays, announced their 2010 rookie camp and training camp rosters that featured 17 Stingrays players and two current staff members.

Forwards Trevor Bruess (09-10), David de Kastrozza (09-10), Jake Hauswirth (09-10), Nikita Kashirsky (08-10) and defensemen Joe Finley (09-10), Josh Godfrey (08-10), Johann Kroll (08-10) and Dylan Yeo (09-10) highlight the rookie camp roster.

Forwards Steve Pinizzotto (07-09), Andrew Gordon (07-08) defensemen Sean Collins (07-08), Grant McNeill (07-08), Patrick McNeill (07-08) Patrick Wellar (08-10) and goaltenders Todd Ford (09-10), Braden Holtby (09-10) and Michal Neuvirth (08-09) appear on the training camp roster.

Stingrays Equipment Manager John Williams and Athletic Trainer D.J. Church will join the Washington Capitals staff for both camps.

Rookie Camp begins on Sunday, September 12 at 10:30 a.m. and concludes with a game against the Philadelphia Flyers rookies on Thursday, September 16 at 3:00 p.m. Training Camp begins on Saturday, September 18 and ends on Monday, October 4. The camp features six preseason games against Columbus, Nashville and Boston. Both camps will be held at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, VA.

The Stingrays drop the puck on their 18th season of hockey in the Low Country on Friday, October 22 against the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:35 p.m. at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. Opening Weekend is set for Friday, November 5, Saturday, November 6 and Sunday, November 7 against the Florida Everblades at 7:05 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at North Charleston Coliseum.
