Florida Everblades News Release

ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades are proud to announce that Chris Pikosky, who served as the team's massage therapist, has been hired by the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League.

Pikosky was a member of the Everblades training staff as the massage therapist since the inception of the organization. The 42-year-old will begin his tenure with the Kings as their massage therapist on September 13.

"I've always strived to work in the NHL at some point," Pikosky said. "I just happened to see through an on-line job search that the Kings were looking for a massage therapist, so I sent an e-mail and within 15 minutes I got a call back."

During his 12-year stint with the Everblades Pikosky worked on over 200 players that have suited up in the green and blue.

"I've played hockey my whole life, so when the Everblades were formed I immediately contacted Todd Wisocki." added Pikosky. "I can't say enough for how first class the Everblades organization is, how dedicated Mr. Brush is to winning and how great everyone was to work with."

In addition to spending game nights at Germain Arena, Pikosky also carries 16 years of experience of outpatient physical therapy through his business Peak Performance. Outside of hockey, he has also served as massage therapist for national events including the 2003 PGA Franklin Templeton Shark Shootout and the Outback Champions Cup tennis tournaments. Most recently Pikosky served as a massage therapist for the Pittsburgh Steelers' 2008 Super Bowl victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Tampa.
