
Canucks Acquire Drew MacIntyre

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced today they have acquired goaltender Drew MacIntyre from the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for a conditional draft pick in 2007.
MacIntyre, 26, appeared in 13 games last season with the Grand Rapids Griffins, compiling a 8-4-0 record with a 2.91 goals against average and a .897 save percentage. He also played in five Calder Cup post-season games in 2006, where he collected three wins, including a victory over the Moose in Game 7 of the North Division Final. He finished the playoffs with a 1.62 goals against average. The Charlottetown, PEI native also appeared in 33 games with the Toledo Storm of the ECHL where he put together a record of 24-7-2 with a pair of shutouts and a 2.06 goals against average and .926 save percentage.
In his three-year pro career, MacIntyre has appeared in 37 games in the AHL, all with Grand Rapids. He has 15 wins and 12 losses along with a shutout, as well as a 2.78 career goals against average and an AHL career save percentage of .921.
MacIntyre was originally a fourth round draft choice of Detroit Red Wings, 121st overall, in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
