The Akron Aeros and QualChoice are teaming up this Saturday, April 23 for a Canned Food Drive at Canal Park to benefit the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank. Fans are encouraged to bring one canned food item with them to the game. Anyone who brings a canned good will receive a voucher good for a half-price ticket ($5.00). Game time is 2:05 p.m., gates open at 1:05 p.m.
Through the generosity of numerous sponsors, all fans in attendance will have the chance to win one of many great prizes, including two AirTran Airways ticket vouchers, Akron Aeros prize packs and much, much more.
All donated food items will be used by the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank to feed an estimated 98,000 people in the region. The Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank currently supplies food and other items to nearly 400 feeding programs in Summit, Stark, Portage, Medina, Wayne, Tuscarawas, Carroll and Holmes counties.
