Teddy Bear Toss: The Hurricanes will hold their annual Canadian Tire Toque and Teddy Toss on Friday, November 30th when they welcome the Swift Current Broncos at the ENMAX Centre. Tickets and Teddy's for the game can be purchased at the South Canadian Tire location in Lethbridge for $15.00, while supplies last.
Military Jersey Auction: The Hurricanes are auctioning off their Military Appreciation Night themed jerseys. The jersey auction will end on Sunday, November 18th at 12:00pm. To place a bid, visit: https://www.32auctions.com/militaryjersey.
Saturday Double Header: The Hurricanes and the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns Men's Hockey Team will be playing a double-header at the ENMAX Centre this coming Saturday, November 17th . The Pronghorns will play at 2:00pm when they take on the U of A Golden Bears. Hurricanes Season Ticket holders receive complimentary tickets to the Pronghorns game and can be picked up at the ENMAX Centre Ticket Centre.
Celebrity Dinner Announced: The Hurricanes are pleased to announce that TSN's Bob McKenzie will be the special guest at this year's Celebrity Dinner. The event will take place on Saturday, January 19th, 2019 at the Sandman Signature Lodge. Tickets are available for $150 for one or a table of 10 for $1250 and can be purchased by calling Dylan or Tamara at 403-328-1986.
Single Game Tickets: The Hurricanes continue their four game home-stand on Friday and Saturday this weekend when they welcome the Edmonton Oil Kings and the Moose Jaw Warriors to the ENMAX Centre. Tickets are available online at www.enmaxcentre.ca, by calling 403-329-SEAT (7328) or by visiting the ENMAX Centre or Yates Ticket Centre.
THE WEEK THAT WAS Friday, November 9th - 4-2 Win vs. Calgary Hitmen: The Hurricanes ended a two-game losing streak with a 4-2 win Friday over the Calgary Hitmen at the ENMAX Centre. Jadon Joseph, Calen Addison, Alex Cotton and Zach Cox scored in the winning cause. Reece Klassen made 34 saves in the win.
Monday, November 12th - 6-4 Loss vs. Edmonton Oil Kings: The Hurricanes were handed a 6-4 loss on Monday to the Oil Kings at the ENMAX Centre. It was the second loss this season to Edmonton for the 'Canes. Zach Cox scored twice while Jordy Bellerive and Dylan Cozens added the others.
THIS WEEK'S GAME SCHEDULE
Friday, November 16th - vs. Edmonton Oil Kings (7:00pm): The Hurricanes and Oil Kings will be the second of two games this week in a rematch Friday at the ENMAX Centre. Edmonton has won both previous match-ups this season, outscoring the 'Canes 12-7 in those contests.
Saturday, November 17th - vs. Moose Jaw Warriors (7:00pm): The Hurricanes end a four-game home stand on Saturday against the Moose Jaw Warriors at the ENMAX Centre. It will be the first of four meetings on the season and the first of two games in a week between the 'Canes and Warriors.
NEWS & NOTES
Strong Shooter: The 'Canes Zach Cox scored his first ever multi-goal game on Monday, November 12th against the Edmonton Oil Kings. Cox had set a new career-high with six goals on the season. The 19- year-old has scored those six goals on just 13 shots this season as he leads the entire WHL in shooting percentage with an impressive 46.2% rate. The 'Canes Jadon Joseph sits second in WHL shooting percentage at 32.1% with nine goals on 28 shots on the season.
Production from the Line: The 'Canes Calen Addison has recorded 20 points in the first 18 games of the season having collected four goals and 16 assists. The third-year rearguard currently sits tied for fourth among points by defensemen in the entire WHL. He also sits fourth in shots from a blueliner with 62 on the year.
