MONTREAL -- Guard Kyle Julius of Guelph, Ont., led all scorers with 15 points as Canada's men's basketball team rallied for the second straight night to defeat Angola 76-70 on the campus of McGill University on Thursday.

Three other Canadians reached double figures in scoring, including Kevin Jobity, a six-foot-10 forward from Toronto, who had 12 points. Jermaine Bucknor of Edmonton had 11 and Velimir Radinovic of Oakville, Ont., added 10.

Trailing 38-23 at halftime and 52-50 after three quarters, Canada finally took the lead for good with 2:53 remaining on a jump shot by forward Jason Faulknor of Etobicoke, Ont., who came off the bench to score eight points and grab six rebounds.

Angola, the FIBA African zone champions, had 13 points from Miguel Lutonda and 12 from Olimpio Cipriano.

Canada, which had a 33-26 edge in rebounds, shot 49 per cent from the field and 72 per cent from the foul line. Angola, which had two players foul out in the final three minutes, connected on only 41 per cent from the field and shot a paltry 58 per cent from the charity stripe.

The final game of the three-game Quebec Summer Series series will be played at Université Laval in Ste. Foy on Saturday afternoon.
