The Yuma Scorpions play host for a three game series with the Edmonton Cracker Cats beginning on Tuesday June 3. The series will feature three nights of great Golden Baseball League action and fun promotions for all fans. In recognition of all the value that Canadian visitors provide Yuma in the winter and year round, all Canadian citizens will be able to purchase tickets for the Edmonton series for just $1 a piece by just showing their Canadian ID at the ticket window.
Canada Week Special Promotion:
June 3rd:Maple Food Night
June 4th:Canadian Bacon Night
June 5th:Famous Canadian Night
On Tuesday night,June 3rd, all fans that bring in any food item with Maple as an ingredient will receive half price admission. All non perishable items will be donated to the Yuma Community Food Bank. Throughout the night the Scorpions will give fans a chance to win Arizona Winter League Canada Miner merchandise ? t-shirts, hats, pins, etc.
On Wednesday night, June 4th, the 1st 500 fans will receive a FREE piece of ?Canadian Bacon? and 25 lucky fans will win a free bottle of Maple syrup as well! Throughout the night the Scorpions will give fans a chance to win Arizona Winter League Canada Miner merchandise.
On Thursday night, June 5th, all fans dressed as Famous Canadians such as Pamela Anderson, Shania Twain, Keanu Reeves, Alex Trebek, Celine Dion, Jim Carrey, Wayne Gretzky, a Canadian Mountie, a powdered wigged and robed Member of Parliament, a beaver, an Eskimo, a Maple Leaf, etc.(for a list of famous Canadians visit http://www.canadians.ca/top20.htm) will be admitted for half price. There will be a contest during the game for the best costume, with the winner receiving 2 reserve seats for all of the remaining games of the 2008 season.
