Sussex 2B Chris Brown was 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles, a home run, two runs scored and three RBI to lead the Skyhawks to a 6-4 win against Worcester. That was more than enough support for Sussex starting pitcher Roger Lincoln who improved his record to 3-2 on the season with a victory. Lincoln tossed seven shutout innings, scattering five hits and striking out four without issuing a walk. Skyhawks reliever Sandy Nin struck out three and did not allow a run over the game's final 1 1/3 innings to earn his third save.

Brockton 7, Quebec 3

The Brockton Rox got a great outing from starting pitcher Wayne Lundgren and a big game at the plate from RF Jud Thigpen en route to a 7-3 win against Quebec. Lundgren allowed two runs, one earned, on seven hits while striking out three in seven innings to earn the win and improve to 4-4 on the year. Thigpen led all hitters at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI. Quebec RF Alex Nunez was 3-for-4 with a double and four RBI in the losing effort.

New Hampshire 3, New Jersey 1 (10 innings)
@ Little Falls, NJ. Time: 3:10 Attendance: 1,875

The American Defenders of New Hampshire got a solid outing from starting pitcher Miguel Flores, but needed a pair of runs in the 10th inning to come away with the 3-1 win against New Jersey. Flores allowed one run on nine hits in 6 2/3 innings, but did not factor in the decision. Instead it was American Defenders reliever Adam Piechowski who was credited with the win to improve his mark to 2-0 on the year. Jackals starting pitcher AJ Wideman also put forth a great effort, tossing eight shutout innings in which he fanned seven. New Hampshire closer Juan Padilla tossed a scoreless 10th inning to earn his 13th save.
