New Jersey 4, Pittsfield 2 (Game 1 - 7 Innings)

New Jersey plated two runs in the first inning en route to a 4-2 win against Pittsfield as the Jackals took game one of a doubleheader. The Jackals added an insurance run in the second and third inning to open up a 4-0 lead. New Jersey 3B Nick Giarraputo had two hits and an RBI, and LF Nick Santomauro went 3-for-3 with a double and a run scored. Shortstop Argenis Reyes and C Chris Anderson each drove in a run for the Jackals in the game. Starting pitcher Mike Moore allowed just one run on five hits in six innings pitched to earn the win for New Jersey. Reliever Jeff Gogal retired the final two batters to earn the save. Pittsfield SS Jermel Lomack went 2-for-2 with an RBI in a losing effort.

New Jersey 2, Pittsfield 0 (Game 2 - 7 Innings)

New Jersey scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth to defeat Pittsfield 2-0 and sweep both games of a doubleheader. Jackals pitcher James Leverton pitched all seven innings, conceded no runs and allowed just one hit. Leverton, who was named Pitcher of the Week twice this month, fanned four batters in the game. First baseman Kris Sanchez's two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth was the difference in the ball game. Jackals 2B Myron Leslie went 2-for-2 with a run scored. Pittsfield 1B Chris Torres had his team's only hit in the loss.

Worcester 6, New York 0

Worcester blanked New York 6-0, courtesy of starting pitcher Zach Zuercher's complete game two-hitter. Zuercher allowed just two hits and no runs in his nine innings pitched while striking out four batters to earn the win. The Tornadoes scored two runs in the fourth inning and four runs in the fifth inning. Tornadoes CF Brendan Kelliher hit a two-run home run, and 1B Chris Colabello went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI in the game. Worcester 3B Mark Minicozzi and DH Nick Salotti chipped in with an RBI each.

Brockton 13, Newark 7

Brockton CF Chris Valencia, 2B Mike Torres and 1B Melvin Falu combined for 10 RBIs to help the Rox dispatch of the Newark Bears by a score of 13-7. Torres led the Rox with four RBIs. Torres went 3-for-6 at the plate with two doubles and two runs scored. Valencia went 4-for-5 with a double, a triple, three RBIs and four runs scored, and Falu had four hits and three RBIs. Rox starter Mike Smith allowed four runs on eight hits and was credited with the win for his seven innings of work. Bears C Billy Alvino had a triple and four RBIs in the loss.

Quebec 9, Rockland 4

Rockland held tough in this back-and-forth ballgame, but the visiting Quebec Capitales plated five runs in the eighth inning to take a 9-4 victory. Quebec SS Jeff Helps went 2-for-4 with a triple and a run scored. Helps led Quebec with three RBIs. Quebec 3B Seth Henry and DH Ben Gorang each had two RBIs. Capitales starting pitcher Matthew Rusch allowed three earned runs on six hits in seven innings pitched to earn the win. Boulders CF Ryde Rodriguez had two hits and an RBI in a losing effort.
