North Shore starting pitcher Chris Farley and C Jonathan DeVries lead the way in helping the Spirit get past the Jackals. Farley on the evening went eight strong innings allowing only a run on five hits with three strikeouts to pick up his fourth victory of the season. Meanwhile, DeVries had a 2-for-3 outing with 2 runs scored and a run batted in. For the Jackals, they were led tonight by LF Bryce Kartler who went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI, including his first home run of the season.

Brockton 6, Worcester 3

2B Eugene Julien went 2-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI to lead the Rox to an easy victory over the Tornadoes. Brockton would jump out to a 3-0 lead after the first inning and would never be challenged. Brockton starter Rolando Viera got his fourth win of the year throwing seven shutout innings allowing only four hits and striking out seven Worcester batters. Brockton closer Jon Koch notched his fifth save of the season, tying him with David Byard of Worcester and Julio Perez of Sussex for third in the league. C Onix Mercado, 3B Jeff Lahair, and 1B Chris Colabello each had two-hit outings for the Tornadoes in the losing effort.

New Haven County 2, Sussex 1

2B Jose Delgado threw a bases loaded walk in the ninth inning scoring PR D.J. Bailey to give the Cutters the win over the Skyhawks and maintain their one game lead over North Shore. Cutters' pitcher Cory Willey got his third win in relief pitching a scoreless ninth inning allowing a hit and striking out one. The Skyhawks only run of the game came in the third inning on a RBI groundout by 1B Ryan Lehr. Joe Gault notched his second loss of the season going 2 2/3 innings allowing both New Haven County runs, one earned, on three hits with two strikeouts.
