It was a pitcher's duel for eight innings. But in the end, neither Nashua starting pitcher, Vincent Davis, nor New Haven County starter Brad Whitworth factored in the decision. Each pitched great through eight innings and handed the ball over to their respective bullpens with the game tied 1-1. Whitworth allowed one run, earned, on four hits and struck out four. Davis allowed an earned run as well on six hits. The Pride only managed a run through Davis' eight innings, but was able to come up with one more in the ninth after right-hander Jamie Baker retired the Cutters in the top of the ninth, giving him his first win of the year. The loss for New Haven County drops them out of sole possession of first place in the Can-Am League. They are now tied with Sussex, whose game was suspended due to rain and will be finished tomorrow, and North Shore.

North Shore 2, Quebec 1
@ Lynn, MA. Time: 2:37 Attendance: 3,311
W: Bryan Morse (4-2) L: Marc Major (2-1) S: Kevin Fitzgerald (7)
HR: NS-B.J. Weed (2)
North Shore starting pitcher Bryan Morse went eight strong innings allowing just one earned run on six hits and struck out six to pick up his fourth win of the season. Morse got a run in support in the third, but the next North Shore run didn't come until the eighth, but was just in time to make Morse the winner. Right-handed closer Kevin Fitzgerald came on to pitch the ninth and preserve the one-run lead, picking up his league leading seventh save. Spirit CF B.J. Weed was the leading hitter, going 2-for-4, including his second home run of the year. With the win and the suspension of the Sussex game earlier in the evening due to rain, North Shore is now in a three-way tie for first place in the Can-Am League with Sussex and New Haven County.
