Relief pitcher Alex Pena pitched three scoreless innings and struck out two batters to pick up the win for Worcester. It was Pena's first win of the season and improved the Tornadoes record to 4-2. Six different Worcester hitters had a hit apiece as the Tornadoes scored six runs on six hits. Despite getting the loss, New Haven starting pitcher Rolando Valles pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing only three earned runs and striking out four. 1B Thomari Story-Harden lead the Cutters at the plate with two hits and two RBI.

Brockton DH Joe Milbury's two-run single in the bottom of the eighth broke a 4-4 tie and gave the Rox a 6-4 win over Nashua. Relief pitcher Eric Carter picked up the win for Brockton, throwing one scoreless inning. Offensively, the Rox were led by 1B Jake Daubert who had three hits on the night including his first homer of the season. Nashua 2B Tom Creighton went 2-for-4 with a homerun for the Pride in the losing effort.

New Jersey 8, Quebec 3

New Jersey starting pitcher Isaac Pavilk went six strong innings, striking out five and allowing only three runs to get his first win of the year. CF Zach Smithlin went 3-for-5 to lead the Jackals at the plate. 1B Bill Peavey provided the only homerun of the game for New Jersey. Quebec 2B Dany Scalabrini had three hits in the losing cause.

Sussex 4, North 1 (Suspended-Bottom 4)
@ Augusta, NJ.
The game was suspended due to rain in the bottom of the fourth inning. It will resume tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. and will be part of a doubleheader. The second game will begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game and will be shortened to seven innings.
