New Jersey 1, Quebec 0
New Jersey LHP Isaac Pavlik tossed a three-hit shutout and struck out eight as New Jersey edged past Quebec 1-0. The Jackals broke the scoreless ninth-inning tie to secure a walkoff win when RF Carlos Sosa drove an RBI double to knock in pinch-runner Jeff Grose, who came on after 1B Jabe Bergeron reached on an error to start the inning. Starting pitcher Dan Sausville took the tough luck loss for the Capitales, as he let in only the unearned run in the ninth to give the Jackals the walkoff victory. New Jersey SS Mike DeJesus had the only multihit contest for either team.
Brockton 10, Worcester 2
Brockton's bats came alive with 15 hits as the Rox crushed the Tornadoes 10-2. RF Keith Brachhold went 3-for-5 with a home run and four RBI, while 2B Shawn Williams doubled twice as part of a three-hit night in which he scored four times. Brockton CF Chris Valencia added three hits, with two falling for doubles. 3B Mark Minicozzi added three hits for Worcester in the losing effort. RHP Jimmer Kennedy threw three hitless innings and struck out five to pick up his first win for the Rox.
Pittsfield 4, Sussex 3
SS Matt Nandin knocked three hits and scored twice as Pittsfield held on in the face of a late Sussex surge to win 4-3. Starting pitcher Miguel Flores picked up his eighth win by striking out twelve Skyhawks over 7.2 innings of work. CF Carl Loadenthal went 2-for-3 with a walk and scored two runs for Sussex from the three-hole, but Sussex couldn't capitalize after pushing two across in the eighth to cut their deficit to one. Colonials' closer Juan Padilla picked up his 11th save with a perfect ninth.
