New Jersey 15, Sussex 2
RHP Chris Vasami threw seven shutout innings, and the Jackals provided more than enough offense to back him as they clobbered Sussex 15-2. LF Jacob Butler went 4-for-5 and scored five runs, drilling his 13th home run of the season to cap the scoring in the ninth. New Jersey RF Kevin Clark and CF Adam Godwin added three hits each, driving in a combined five runs. 1B Jabe Bergeron added his 11th home run of the season and collected four RBI, going 2-for-4 with two walks in all. SS Chase Fontaine provided the offense for Sussex, knocking an RBI double in the eighth and coming around to score the second and final Skyhawk run.
Worcester 6, Pittsfield 3
DH Nick Salotti slugged a two-run homer as part of a four-run first inning to give the Tornadoes a lead they wouldn't relinquish, as Worcester topped Pittsfield 6-3. 3B Mark Minicozzi had three hits in the victory. LHP Zach Zuercher posted a quality start to pick up the win for the Tornadoes, going six innings and surrendering three earned runs. RF Angel Molina went 2-for-3 with an RBI single and a walk in the losing effort for the Colonials.
Quebec 9, Brockton 0 (Game 1 - Suspended - Bottom 4th)
The Brockton Rox and Quebec Capitales were suspended in the fourth inning due to rain on Wednesday night at Le Stade Municipal. Quebec holds the lead, 9-0, as they bat with two outs. The two clubs will complete the seven-inning contest on Thursday night at 5:05 p.m, prior to the regularly scheduled 9-inning game at 7:05.
Brockton at Quebec (Game 2 - Postponed)
This game was postponed due to rain. It will be made up on Friday, August 20 at Campanelli Stadium in Brockton as part of a doubleheader beginning at 5:05 p.m. Each game will be seven innings.
