Quebec 15, Pittsfield 3
A sensational game by Quebec SS Ivan Naccarata leads the Capitales to an easy 15-3 win over the Pittsfield Colonials. Naccarata went 5-for-6 on the night with two home runs, four RBI and a league record six runs scored. RF Alex Nunez, CF Sebastien Boucher, LF Robert Wagner and 1B Marc Mimeault each had two-hit games as well. Quebec starting pitcher Matthew Rusch continues his terrific season in winning his league leading eighth game of the season. Rusch went six innings giving up two earned runs on four hits.
New Jersey 6, Brockton 5 (10 innings)
The New Jersey Jackals pushed across the game winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning to edge past the Brockton Rox 6-5. CF Adam Godwin and 3B Abraham Nunez each had three-hit games to pace the New Jersey offense. Jackals LF Jake Butler launched his 10th home run in a 2-for-4 night. New Jersey reliever Mike Pontius tossed 1 2/3 innings of scoreless baseball to notch his second victory of the season.
Worcester 5, Sussex 1
Worcester rolled out to a 4-0 lead after three innings and cruised from there to a 5-1 win over the Sussex Skyhawks. Tornadoes CF Danny Santiesteban hit his eighth home run on of the season, a second inning three-run shot, in a 1-for-4 night. Worcester starting pitcher John Kelly was terrific in collecting his seventh win of the season. Kelly went five innings allowing one earned run on four hits with five strikeouts.
