Brockton 4, Pittsfield 2

Brockton starting pitcher Wayne Lundgren allowed two runs on six hits while striking out a pair in seven innings to lead the Rox past the Colonials. With the win, Lundgren ran his record to 3-1 on the season. Brockton 2B Scott Wearne led the way offensively, going 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Rox reliever Brad Hertzler held Pittsfield scoreless in the eighth and earned his first save. Colonials RF Daniel Carte was 3-for-4 with a run scored in the losing effort.

Worcester 13, New Jersey 3

Worcester got things started early with three runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back en route to a 13-3 rout of New Jersey. The Tornadoes tallied 18 hits in the game, led by C Alex Trezza, who was 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles, two runs scored and three RBI. Every hitter in the Worcester lineup recorded at least one hit and seven had multi-hit games. Tornadoes starting pitcher John Kelly was the beneficiary of the run support. He scattered three hits while striking out six in five shutout innings to earn the win, his third of the season.

Sussex 10, Quebec 7 (Top 6)
