The New Jersey Jackals scored three runs with two outs in the ninth inning to come-from-behind and shock Sussex on the road. After the Jackals tied the game at 2-2, 1B Myron Leslie hit a single to left field that scored CF Timo Perez from second base for what would prove to be the winning run. New Jersey starting pitcher Ted Serro allowed two runs on nine hits while striking out five in seven innings but did not factor in the decision. Instead it was reliever Kevin Gunter who was credited with the victory, improving his record to 7-1 on the year. Jackals closer Rusty Tucker struck out the side in the ninth inning to earn his 22nd save.

New Hampshire 4, Quebec 1 (6 innings)

New Hampshire starting pitcher Rob Riley allowed one run on six hits while striking out five to out-duel Quebec starter Eric Gagne in a game that was called in the bottom of the sixth inning with one out due to rain. With the win, Riley improved his mark to 2-1 on the season. American Defenders C Zane Chavez led the way at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a home run, a double and three RBI. CF Edward Ovalle also went deep, his fourth homer of the season. Quebec 1B Eddie Lantigua was 2-for-3 with a double and a RBI to lead the Capitales in the losing effort.

Worcester 6, Brockton 5

Trailing 5-2 entering the bottom of the ninth inning, the Worcester Tornadoes rallied for four runs in the frame to upend Brockton, 6-5. Picking up the win for the Tornadoes was Chris Anderson, who ran his record to 2-1. Leading the way at the plate for Worcester was SS Omar Pena, who was 4-for-5 with a double and three RBI. 2B Mike MacMillan also had a good game at the plate. He was 3-for-4 with three runs scored. Brockton DH Palmer Karr was 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI in the losing effort.
