Another good outing by starting pitcher AJ Wideman and a solid offensive showing by the top of the batting order leads New Jersey to a win in game one of the doubleheader with New Hampshire. Wideman notched his sixth win of the season allowing three earned runs on four hits in five innings of work. The top four in the Jackals batting order, 2B Marcus Sanders, LF Ryan Rogowski, DH Quinn Stewart and 1B Myron Leslie, combined to go 7-for-15 at the plate with six runs scored and five RBI. RF Angel Molina accounted for all of New Hampshire's runs with a three-run home run in the first inning.

Back-to-back home runs by RF Angel Molina and 3B Chris Kelly in the bottom of the sixth inning helped New Hampshire rally from a 2-0 deficit and beat New Jersey 3-2. Kelly was 2-for-3 on the day to lead the American Defenders offense. New Hampshire reliever Lucas Ledbetter pitched a scoreless sixth inning to collect his second win of the season. LF Ryan Rogowski and 3B Mike Scanzano each had two hits in the losing effort.
