Trailing 5-4 entering the bottom of the ninth inning, the Ottawa Rapidz came back to win 6-5 thanks to a rally capped by 1B Jake Daubert's game winning RBI single. It was Daubert's only hit of the game, but it was a big one, scoring LF Jereme Milons from second. Daubert's heroics helped the Rapidz overcome a big game by Brockton LF Dennis Abreu, who was 3-for-3 with a pair of home runs and four RBI. Ottawa reliever Angelo Burrows picked up the win after tossing three shutout innings. With the victory, Burrows' mark improves to 2-1 on the year.

Worcester 9, Quebec 5

The Worcester Tornadoes stormed back late in this one as they plated five runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to overcome a 5-4 deficit and win 9-5 at home. Worcester 1B Chris Colabello led the way at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a triple, a run scored and three RBI. Tornadoes RF Francisco Caraballo also had a good game, going 2-for-4 with a home run and a pair of RBI. Worcester reliever Anthony Sullivan picked up the win. He did not allow a run in his only inning of work.

Sussex 6, New Jersey 3

The Sussex Skyhawks used a four-run fifth inning to propel them past New Jersey and complete the series sweep. With the win the Skyhawks close to within four games of first place Quebec in the second half. Sussex starting pitcher Gary Galvez allowed two runs, one earned, on four hits while striking out four in five innings of work to earn the win and improve to 3-5 in the process. Skyhawks reliever Roger Lincoln held the Jackals at bay for the game's final four innings to earn his second save. Sussex 1B Matt Weston was 2-for-4 with a home run in the contest to lead the Skyhawks offensively.

Nashua vs. Atlantic City (Postponed - Rain)

@ Atlantic City, NJ.

The game scheduled between Nashua and Atlantic City was postponed due to rain. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader in Nashua on Monday, August 25 beginning at 5:05 PM. Both games will consist of seven innings.
