Despite out-hitting New Jersey 16-9, it took awhile for the Rox to deal the finishing blow as they scored the winning run in the bottom of the 12th inning. Brockton C Josh Vander Hey led all hitters in the game going 3-for-6 with a home run and two runs scored. Both starting pitchers were efficient, but neither factored in the decision. Instead it was Mike McTamney picking up the win in relief for the Rox. He tossed a perfect 12th frame. New Jersey SS Casey Gordon had a good game for the Jackals, driving in three of the team's four runs in a 1-for-4 afternoon.

Nashua 10, Ottawa 6

In a game that featured 28 hits, it was the Nashua Pride who got enough pitching in the end to secure the victory. Pride starter Jarrett Stawarz scattered 10 hits and allowed six runs, three earned, in 6 1/3 innings to pick up the win and improve to 2-1 on the season. Nashua reliever Adam Piechowski took over from there and did not allow a run the rest of the way, earning his first save. Pride CF Vinny Pennell led all hitters in the game. He was 4-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI. Ottawa 1B Jabe Bergeron was 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBI in the losing effort.

Sussex 17, Quebec 2

It was all Skyhawks in this one as Sussex plated two runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back. The Sussex offense collected a staggering 22 hits in the game, led by RF Jorge Moreno who was 4-for-5 with three runs scored and an RBI. Every hitter in the Skyhawks' lineup collected at least one hit and all but three recorded multi-hit games. Sussex 1B Matthew Weston was 2-for-5 with a home run and four RBI. All that offense made things easy for starting pitcher Matt Salvato. He allowed two runs on four hits in seven innings of work to improve to 2-1 on the year.

The Worcester Tornadoes picked up an important win on the road, to put them one game up on Quebec for the top spot in the Can-Am League standings. Tornadoes starting pitcher Tom Cochran led the way, allowing two runs on six hits while striking out three in eight strong innings to remain perfect on the season at 5-0. Worcester reliever Ryan Lobban allowed one base runner in a scoreless ninth to pick up his second save. Worcester RF Scott Grimes was 3-for-4 with a solo home run to lead the way offensively. Atlantic City RF Josh Burrus was 4-for-4 with a home run and two runs scored in the losing effort.
