The Atlantic City Surf scored three runs in the first inning and two more in the third to roll out to a 5-0 lead and would cruise from there to beat Quebec. The Surf were led offensively by 3B Billy Hogan who went 3-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI and DH Clyde Williams who had a 2-for-4 day at the plate with two runs scored and a RBI. Atlantic City starting pitcher Ben Thurmond had a solid day on the mound to win his first game of the year as he went six innings allowing two runs, both earned, on six hits with a strikeout. 2B Josh Colafemina went 3-for-4 with a run scored to lead the Capitales.

New Jersey 15, Ottawa 6

The New Jersey Jackals hammered out 16 hits and plated 15 runs in beating the Ottawa Rapidz Sunday afternoon. CF Zach Smithlin led the offensive explosion for the Jackals going 4-for-6 with three runs scored and two RBI. LF Francisco Leandro also chipped with two hits in four at-bats along with scoring three runs and driving in one. New Jersey starting pitcher Isaac Pavlik notched his first victory going five innings allowing five earned runs on nine hits. Ottawa 1B Jabe Bergeron had three hits,including a home run in the losing cause.

Brockton RF Matt Maloney's solo home run in the fourth inning was the difference in the Rox edging the Nashua Pride Sunday and taking three-of-four in the series. Rox starter John Kelly was terrific in getting his first win of the season as Kelly went six strong innings allowing only two hits and two walks while fanning eight. The bullpen combination of Matt Zachary, James Baker and Jerry Dunn allowed only one unearned run and a hit over the final three innings to preserve the win for Kelly. Pride starter Reid Willett gave up two earned runs on five hits to pick up the loss.

Worcester scored early and often in beating the Sussex Skyhawks handily at Skylands Park. The Tornadoes scored three runs apiece in the first and second innings and four more in the fourth inning to go out to a 10-0 lead after 3 1/2 innings. 1B Chris Colabello went 2-for-6 at the dish with a run scored and four RBI while Alex Trezza had a 2-for-5 day with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI. Tornadoes starter Eddie Pena allowed two earned runs on six hits over five innings pitched to notch his first win of the season. In the losing effort for Sussex, DH Walter Young went 2-for-5 with a run scored and a RBI.
