New Jersey used three big sixth-inning runs to win a 6-4 contest against Atlantic City and complete a three-game sweep. 3B Wilton Veras provided the fireworks with a two-run home run in the sixth to break a 2-2 tie. New Jersey added insurance runs in the seventh and ninth innings, and they would need them, as Atlantic City plated two in the bottom of the seventh. But the Jackals held on for the win behind a ninth-inning save from Ricky Tucker, his 13th of the season. Tucker leads the league in saves.
