Sussex scored runs in six of the eight innings they came to the plate to defeat Nashua 7-4, their third straight victory. The Pride tallied three runs in the first on a C Tommy Rojas two-run double and an RBI single from 1B Bryan Duplissie, but Skyhawks starter Brian Ford settled down and allowed one run on four hits in his final five innings of work. Jake Upwood then retired all nine batters he faced for his first save of the season. Sussex C Abraham Ayala went 3-for-3 with two RBI and a second-inning solo blast, his first homer of the season.

Onix Mercado's pinch-hit single in the top of the ninth drove in the game's only run as Worcester edged Quebec. Both teams had had chances previously, as the Tornadoes left eight runners on base in the game; meanwhile, the Capitales had a runner on third base with no outs in the eighth inning but couldn't score, and had CF Goefrey Tomlinson thrown out at the plate to end the game. Gabe Ribas got a hard-luck no-decision for Quebec, scattering six hits and striking out seven in eight innings of work.

New Jersey starter Joel Bennett was superb, giving up no runs on five hits in eight innings pitched, striking out six, as New Jersey cruised past New Haven County 7-1. Jackals 1B Bill Peavey was 2-for-5 with a two-run double in the third and an RBI single in the fifth, while C Jason Belcher went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored. 1B Thomari Story-Harden scored the Cutters' only run on a fielding error by 3B Wilton Veras in the ninth.

North Shore 6, Brockton 1

North Shore used some late offense to get a 6-1 victory over Brockton and move into first place by percentage points. With the score tied at 1, the Spirit plated two runs in the seventh inning on DH Jeff Brooks' two-run home run, another in the eighth on B.J. Weed's RBI single, and two more in the ninth on a bases-loaded walk and a sacrifice fly. North Shore C Alex Trezza finished 2-for-3 with a fourth-inning solo home run, while Brockton's only run came on LF Joe Hough's dinger in the fifth.
