Brockton starter John Kelly had a superb outing, giving up two runs on four hits in eight innings of work and striking out seven, as the Rox defeated Quebec 4-2, their eighth victory in their last nine games. SS Eugene Julien led the way offensively for Brockton, going 3-for-5 with a double, while DH Guye Senjem was 2-for-4. Jon Koch came pitched a hitless ninth for the Rox to earn his seventh save of the season. SS Willie James had a double and was the only Capitale with an RBI.

D.J. Mattox and Dallas Mahan combined on a three-hitter as Worcester blanked Nashua 7-0. Worcester got on the board early with C Onix Mercado's two-run double and a sacrifice fly in the first inning; the Tornadoes then tallied another pair on DH Miles Page's two-run single in the third, and added single runs in the fifth and eighth. Mattox allowed just one hit in seven innings, fanning four, for his first victory of the season.

Down 3-0, Sussex answered with five unearned runs in the seventh inning to defeat New Haven County 5-3 and snap a five-game losing streak. The Cutters scored runs in the first and third on RBI singles from DH Derrick Gibson and 1B Thomari Story-Harden, respectively, and added another in the fifth. The Skyhawks then rallied with RBI doubles from 2B Marcos Agramonte and 3B Elvis Corporan, a two-run single from CF James Cooper and an RBI single by 1B Ryan Lehr after fielding errors by 3B Jeremy Terni and 2B Jose Delgado.

New Jersey 7, North Shore 4, Game 1

New Jersey built a 7-1 lead and coasted to a victory over North Shore. All eleven of the Jackals' hits were singles; four different New Jersey players had two hits, while RF Jason Belcher, 3B Wilton Veras and 1B Bill Peavey drove in two runs apiece. The Spirit were led by 1B Vic Davila, who went 3-for-3 with a solo home run in the first inning. Up 4-0, the Jackals scored three runs in the fourth on a two-run single from Belcher and an RBI single by Peavey.

North Shore 9, New Jersey 1, Game 2

Starter Bryan Morse was brilliant as North Shore roared back with a 9-1 victory over New Jersey in the second game of the doubleheader. Morse pitched all seven innings, giving up one run on three hits and striking out three for his fifth victory of the season. CF B.J. Weed went 2-for-3 with a run scored and three RBI for the Spirit, while C Alex Trezza was 2-for-3 with a solo home run as part of a three-run second inning.
