Blanco allowed one unearned run on three hits and struck out three in three innings of relief. Quebec DH Pat Scalabrini led the way at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a solo home run, his ninth of the season. Capitales closer Jason Schutt tossed a perfect ninth to pick up his seventh save.

Surf starting pitcher Adam Cox was dominant through seven innings, allowing one run on just one hit while fanning 12. The victory improves his record to 4-2 on the year and pulls Atlantic City a game over .500. Surf 1B Eddie Kim led all hitters in the contest, going 2-for-2 with an RBI. Atlantic City reliever Walker Whitley picked up his second save thanks to 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief.

The Worcester Tornadoes remained right on the heels of Quebec with a close road win against New Jersey. The win improves the Tornadoes to 22-16 on the year, keeping them 1.5 games out of first place in the Can-Am League. Meanwhile, the loss for New Jersey pushes them three games out of the lead. Worcester came roaring out of the gate with three runs in the top of the first, which proved to be all they would need as starting pitcher Junior Guerrero allowed just two runs on six hits in five innings before handing things over to the bullpen. From there, the Tornadoes relief corps tossed four scoreless innings to seal the win. Worcester SS Charles Jeroloman was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI to lead the offense.
