Quebec 6, Ottawa 2 - Box Score

Trailing 2-1 after 5 ½ innings of play, Quebec stormed back with four runs in the sixth and one in the seventh to rally past Ottawa, 6-2.

The Capitales had 10 hits in the contest and was led by RF Jhalan Jackson who went 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and an RBI. Quebec CF David Salgueiro drove in a pair of runs in a 2-for-4 night while 1B Rian Kiniry and C Corey Bass each had a hit in four at-bats and scored a run.

Capitales starting pitcher David Richardson gave up an earned run over eight innings of work and earned the win. The righty allowed a walk and four hits to go along with six strikeouts. Richardson evened his record at 1-1 on the season with the victory.

For the Champions in the loss, 1B Vincent Guglietti went 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and an RBI.

Rockland 5, Sussex County 3 - Box Score

Rockland won their third consecutive contest as they defeated Sussex County by the score of 5-3.

After trailing 1-0 through 1 ½ innings of action, the Boulders tallied all five of their runs in the bottom of the second. Rockland scored their runs via doubles by 1B Collin Ferguson and DH Matt Oberste, singles from 3B John Brontsema and RF Richie Fecteau and a sacrifice fly by CF Chase Harris.

Brontsema went 3-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI while Ferguson and LF Grant Heyman each had a hit in three official at-bats and plated a run.

Boulders starter Reinaldo Lopez threw 5 2/3 innings and notched the victory. The 28-year-old allowed three earned runs on six hits and struck out five batters. With the win, Lopez is now 5-3 on the year.

Left fielder Jose Brizuela had a 2-for-3 night with a home run and two RBIs in the loss for the Miners.

Trois-Rivieres 9, New Jersey 4 - Box Score

Trois-Rivieres went out a 6-0 lead after 5 ½ innings of play and would go on from there to beat New Jersey by the final of 9-4.

The Aigles had three batters with multi-hit games including leadoff hitter David Glaude who went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored and four RBIs. Trois-Rivieres RF Raphael Gladu scored two runs and drove in one in a perfect 4-for-4 night while SS Tucker Nathans added two hits in five at-bats along with a run and an RBI. In total, the Aigles had 11 hits in the game.

Trois-Rivieres pitcher Brandon Barker gave up two earned runs in five innings pitched and won his second consecutive start. He allowed a walk and eight hits to go along with a strikeout. Barker is now 4-2 in the 2019 season.

Jackals CF Alfredo Marte had a three-hit game with a run and two RBIs.
