Rockland 3, Quebec 1 - Box Score
Rockland scored two runs in the top of the fourth inning to break a 1-1 tie and went on to defeat Quebec by the score of 3-1.
The Capitales started off the scoring in the bottom of the first as SS TJ White doubled home CF David Salgueiro to make it a 1-0 game. The Boulders would come right back in the top of the second as C Adam Ehrlich hit a solo home run to tie the contest up at 1-1. The score would remain that way until the fourth when Rockland took the 3-1 lead thanks to a groundout by 1B Collin Ferguson and an RBI double by Ehrlich.
Ehrlich was the story of the game as he went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with two RBIs.
Boulders starting pitcher Pasquale Mazzoccoli tossed six solid innings to earn his first win of the season. The righty allowed an earned run on three hits with a pair of walks and seven strikeouts.
For Quebec in the losing effort, Salgueiro had a 1-for-2 outing with two walks and a run scored.
New Jersey 4, Trois-Rivieres 1 - Box Score
New Jersey scored a run in each of the first two innings to jump ahead 2-0 and would go from there to beat Trois-Rivieres by the score of 4-1.
The Jackals collected 12 hits as team with three players having multi-hit games. New Jersey CF Jay Gonzalez went 4-for-5 with a run scored while LF Alfredo Marte and DH Richard Stock collected three hits and two hits respectively. First baseman Conrad Gregor also chipped in a two-run home run and three RBIs for New Jersey.
New Jersey starting pitcher Eduard Reyes threw five shutout innings and notched his second win of the year. Reyes gave up three walks and four hits to go along with eight strikeouts.
Left fielder Raphael Gladu went 1-for-4 and scored the Aigles only run of the contest.
Sussex County 9, Ottawa 7 - Box Score
Sussex County moved to 6-1 on the 2019 season as they rallied past Ottawa by the score of 9-7. The Miners scored in each of the first four innings, including three in the fourth that gave them the lead for good.
The Miners were led at the plate by 3B Jose Brizuela who went 3-for-4 with a triple, two runs scored and two RBIs. Sussex County 2B Trey Hair had a pair of hits in five at-bats, including a home run, along with two RBIs while SS Jarred Mederos plated two runs and drove in one in a 1-for-4 night. In total, the Miners had 13 hits in the contest.
Sussex County reliever Andrew Gist tossed two shutout innings and picked-up the victory. Gist gave up a hit and a walk while striking out two in the eight batters that he faced.
For Ottawa, LF Eduard Pinto had a 2-for-4 night with a run scored and two RBIs.
