
Can-Am League Game Recaps

Ottawa 3, Rockland 2 (10 Innings)
Steve Brown singled home Coco Johnson with the game winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning as Ottawa defeated Rockland by a 3-2 final.
The Boulders jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second inning on a two-run RBI double by Mikael Mogues. The Champions would rally back in the eighth as Vincent Guglietti blasted a two-run home run to tie the contest at 2-2. The game would eventually go into extra innings where Ottawa won it in the 10th on the Brown single.
Guglietti went 2-for-5 with a run scored and two RBIs while Daniel Bick had three hits in five at-bats and scored a run.
Champions pitcher Scott Maine tossed two scoreless innings of relief to pick-up his fourth win of the season. Maine gave up a hit and struck out one in the eight batters he faced.
Trois-Rivieres 4, Sussex County 0
Starting pitcher Yender Caramo tossed a complete game shutout in leading Trois-Rivieres past Sussex County by the score of 4-0.
Caramo had a solid night on the mound as he allowed only three hits and four walks while striking out three in a 111-pitch performance (71 strikes). The righty notched the victory and is now 6-4 on the season.
Offensively for the Aigles, Taylor Brennan led the way going 1-for-2 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBIs. The blast by Brennan was his 32nd of the season and leaves him only three back of tying the league record for most homers in a single season.
Kevin Cornelius scored a pair of runs in a 1-for-3 night while Alberth Martinez had a hit in four at-bats and drove in two runs.
New Jersey 8, Quebec 6
New Jersey scored five runs in the eighth inning to overcome a 6-3 deficit and beat Quebec by the score of 8-6.
The Jackals had a solid all-around offensive performance as they pounded out 16 hits with five batters having multi-hit games. Taylor Oldham went 4-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and three RBIs while Rony Cabrera had a pair of hits in five at-bats along with two runs scored and an RBI. Jordan Hinshaw and Connor Hofmann also chipped in two hits apiece for New Jersey.
Jackals pitcher Zach Arneson threw 3 1/3 scoreless innings of relief to earn the victory. The righty allowed a walk and two hits while striking out three in a 48-pitch effort. With the win, Arneson is now 2-1 on the year.
For the Capitales in the losing effort, Zach Wilson went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs.
