Rockland 2, Shikoku Island 1

The Rockland Boulders walked off on the All-Stars from the Shikoku Island league 2-1 on a double from DH Joe Maloney in the bottom of the ninth inning.

The game was tied at one run heading into the ninth inning thanks to a C Marcus Nidiffer RBI single for the Boulders in the third and a 1B Yoshihiro Kobayashi RBI double in the top of the fourth. In the ninth, 2B Steve Nyisztor drew a two-out walk, stole second and ended the game when Maloney doubled. Maloney had a game-high three hits.

Reliever Chad Robinson earned the win for working the ninth inning but starter Stephen Harrold was strong in the no-decision. He went seven innings and allowed just the one run on eight hits while striking out three.

New Jersey 3, Ottawa 0 (Regularly scheduled game)

The New Jersey Jackals bounced back after losing the completion of Saturday's game to shut out the Ottawa Champions 3-0 in Sunday's regularly scheduled affair.

LF Justin Trapp led off the bottom of the first inning with a triple and scored in the next at bat as CF Jamal Austin lifted a sacrifice fly. In the third inning, 3B Mark Threlkeld doubled that lead with a solo home run and he scored the Jackals' third and final run of the game on a single from Leandro Castro in the fifth.

New Jersey starting pitcher Gabriel Perez picked up the win as he went 6.2 innings and allowed eight hits - two to 2B Roberto Ramirez and DH Sebastien Boucher each.

Ottawa 4, New Jersey 3 (Completion of Saturday's game)

The weather halted Saturday's game in the seventh inning with the score tied at three runs but when play resumed Sunday, the Ottawa Champions scored in the top of the eighth inning to beat the New Jersey Jackals 4-3.

CF Sebastien Boucher scored what turned out to be the game-winning run when he scored as 1B Jon Talley bounced into a double play. Boucher and Talley each had a team-high two hits and 3B Matt Tenaglia had two RBI.

For the Jackals, DH Jamal Austin had two hits and two RBI and both SS Peter Mooney and 3B Mark Threlkeld each added a pair of hits.

Quebec 6, Sussex County 5

The Quebec Capitales edged the Sussex County Miners 6-5 in a shootout where they two teams combined for 29 hits.

The Capitales scratched out the first run of the game in the third and backed it up with another run in the fourth and two more in the fifth while the Miners put up two runs in both the fourth and seventh innings. In the top of the seventh Quebec score its fifth and sixth runs of the game on RBI singles from C Josue Peley and CF Yuniesky Gurriel. The Miners scored a pair in the bottom of the frame and one more in the eighth but couldn't close the deficit.

For the Capitales, seven batters had hits including SS Jonathan Malo, who went 4-for-5, RF Alexei Bell, who went 3-for-5, and Peley who had two hits and two RBI. For the Miners, eight different batters had hits and five of them had two-hit games. Leadoff man LF Johnny Bladel went 2-for-5 with an RBI and 1B Kenny Bryant went 1-for-4 with a pair of RBI.
