Quebec 4, Rockland 3
Quebec C Josue Peley singled home LF Josh Garton in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Capitales their second straight walk-off win as they defeated the Rockland Boulders, 4-3. The win by Quebec is their four straight. Capitales had a 3-0 lead through six innings only to see it evaporate as Rockland plated a run in the seventh inning and two more in the eighth to tie it at 3-3. Peley had a terrific game at the plate going a perfect 5-for-5 with a run scored and a RBI. DH Steve Brown added a two-run home run in a 1-for-4 effort. Quebec closer TJ Stanton was the winning pitcher as he tossed 1 1/3 innings allowing two hits and striking out one.
Newark 8, New Jersey 4
After falling behind 2-0 after an half inning, the Newark Bears roared back with seven runs over the first three innings and would cruise from there to an 8-4 win over the New Jersey Jackals. The Bears hit three home runs on the day while 1B Daryle Ward, CF Danny Santiesteban and RF Eric McGee each collected two hits. Newark starting pitcher Matt Fitton was the winner as he went 5 2/3 innings allowing three earned runs on four hits with seven strikeouts. Fitton is now 3-2 on the season. In defeat for New Jersey, 3B Nick Giarraputo hit his 14th home run in a 2-for-4 day.
