Quebec 4, New York 0

Karl Gelinas, now 7-6 on the season, helped fuel Quebec to a 4-0 win against New York by allowing four hits, no runs and striking out nine in eight innings pitched at Le Stade Municipal Stadium. Quebec scored all four of its runs in the bottom of the first inning, and the Capitales registered 10 total hits in the game. Designated hitter Pete Laforest led Quebec with three hits, two RBI and one run in four at-bats, and right fielder Sebastien Boucher chipped in two hits, one run and one RBI in four at-bats. Right fielder Tom Maloney was the only Federal to record more than one hit in the game, and he also struck out twice. Brett Moore, now 0-3 on the season, recorded the loss by allowing eight hits and four runs in six innings pitched.

New Jersey 7, Newark 1

Strong New Jersey pitching held Newark to just one run, and the Jackals topped the Bears 7-1 at Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium. New Jersey got on the board first in the top of the second inning when first baseman Kris Sanchez hit a two-run homer, and center fielder Sean Smith followed moments later with an RBI-single. New Jersey scored four of the next five runs and recorded 16 total hits in the game. Smith led the Jackals with three hits, two runs and one RBI in six at-bats, and catcher Myron Leslie chipped in two hits and two RBI in five at-bats. Catcher Eric McGee and left fielder Brandon Watson were the only Bears to record multiple hits in the game. A.J. Wideman, now 6-2 on the season, earned the win by allowing six hits, one run and striking out four in 6.2 innings pitched.

Rockland 8, Brockton 6

Five different Boulders registered multiple hits as Rockland topped Brockton 8-6 at Provident Bank Park. Brockton got on the board first in the top of the first inning when the Rox scored three runs, but Rockland came back in the next frame when the Boulders scored five runs on five hits. Both teams posted a pair of runs in the fourth inning, and Brockton scored again in the sixth but it wasn't enough to top Rockland. Left fielder Jeremy Slayden led Rockland with three hits and one run in three at-bats, and second baseman Ray Stokes chipped in two hits, two runs and two RBI in five at-bats. Ryan Knippschild, now 2-4 on the season, earned the win by allowing 11 hits and six runs in 5.1 innings pitched.
