Worcester 9, New York 0

Ryan Bicondoa, now 3-1 on the season, pitched a complete game shutout to help lead Worcester to a 9-0 win against New York at Hanover Insurance Park, allowing just two hits and striking out six in nine innings pitched. Worcester took a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning when shortstop Tony Patane hit a two-RBI single, and center fielder Cameron Monger followed with a triple to score Pantane. Both teams were scoreless during the next three frames, before the Tornadoes scored four in the sixth and two more in the seventh. Worcester registered 14 total hits, and Pantane led with three hits, two runs and three RBI in four at-bats. Four different Tornadoes registered hits against New York. Shortstop Tucker Nathans and right fielder Derrick Pyles were the only Federals to record a hit in the game. Kyle Putnam, now 1-4 on the season, recorded the loss by allowing 11 hits, seven runs and striking out two in six innings pitched.

Quebec 6, Rockland 5 (10 innings)

Quebec right fielder Sebastien Boucher hit a two-RBI double in the top of the eighth inning to tie the score at 5-5, and the Capitales went on to beat Rockland 6-5 in the 10th inning. The Capitales got on the board in the second inning when catcher Matt Blazynski scored a run, but Rockland took a 3-1 lead in the fourth. Rockland got on the board again in the bottom of the seventh inning when right fielder Jeremy Slayden hit a two-RBI single. The Capitales scored four runs on five hits to tie the score in the eighth, and a scoreless ninth brought the game to an extra inning. In the 10th, shortstop Jeff Helps was walked to first base, and he advanced to second moments later on a wild pitch. Center fielder Goefrey Tomlinson followed with an RBI double to knock in the winning run for Quebec. Tomlinson led the Capitales with three hits, one run and three RBI in five at-bats, and designated hitter Barry Wesson chipped in three hits and one run for the Boulders. Jeff Duda, now 4-0 on the season, earned the win by allowing one hit and no runs in one inning pitched.
