Pittsfield 9, New Jersey 2

First baseman Angel Molina recorded four hits, one run and four RBI in five at-bats to help Pittsfield top New Jersey 9-2 at Yogi Berra Stadium. The Colonials got on the board in the first inning when Molina hit a two-RBI double. In the top of the third, Pittsfield took a 5-0 lead after second baseman Danny Bomback, Molina, and designated hitter Chris Torres each batted in a run. Pittsfield led New Jersey 8-0 before the Jackals scored their first and only runs in the bottom of the seventh inning. In the top of the next frame, Pittsfield added its ninth and final run for good measure. In addition to Molina's standout performance, third baseman Billy Mottram chipped in three hits and three runs in five at-bats for Pittsfield, and right fielder Chris White led New Jersey with one hit, one run and one RBI in four at-bats. T.J. Wink, now 3-0 on the season, earned the win by allowing five hits, no runs and striking out four in six innings pitched.

Newark 5, Brockton 0

Alex Smith, now 7-2 on the season, helped fuel Newark to a 5-0 victory against Brockton in the final game of a three-game series by allowing just three hits, no runs and striking out one in six innings pitched at Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium. Left fielder Brandon Watson and catcher Eric McGee were the only Bears to record multiple hits in the game, and McGee led with two hits, two runs and two RBI in three at-bats. Brockton had seven total hits, but left eight men on base during the game. Center fielder Chris Valencia led Brockton with three hits in four at-bats. Freddy Flores, now 5-5 on the season, recorded the loss by allowing eight hits, four runs and striking out one in six innings pitched.
