Pittsfield 7, Rockland 2

Pittsfield broke a 2-2 tie with five runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to beat the Rockland Boulders 7-2. Colonials RF Angel Molina went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a run scored while C Scott Knazek drove in three runs. Pittsfield reliever Rafael Lluberes tossed 1 2/3 scoreless innings to pick up the win. He allowed two walks and fanned one batter.

Worcester 11, New York 5

After allowing an early run to the Federals in the top of the 1st inning, the Worcester Tornadoes plated two runs in the bottom of the frame to take a 2-1 lead and would go from there to defeat New York 11-5. Tornadoes DH Mark Minicozzi went 3-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI while 1B Nick Salotti drove in two runs in a 2-for-4 day. Worcester starting pitcher Matt Smith evened his record at 1-1 with the victory despite allowing five earned runs on eight hits.

New Jersey 10, Newark 5

RF Myron Leslie and SS Mike DeJesus each have big days at the plate in the Jackals 10-5 win over the Newark Bears. Leslie went 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBIs while DeJesus had a perfect 5-for-5 day with a run scored. New Jersey starting pitcher James Leverton notched the win as he went 5 1/3 innings giving up an earned run on four hits. He is now 1-1 on the year.
