Rockland 11, Newark 5 (10 innings)
The Rockland Boulders plated six runs in the top of the 10th inning to roll past the Newark Bears 11-5. Boulders 1B Norm Hutchins went 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBIs while LF Vic Buttler had a 2-for-4 game with a home run and three RBIs. RF Tommy Giles chipped in with four hits as well for Rockland. Boulders reliever Michael Gardner notched the win as he tossed three scoreless innings allowing four hits while fanning four. DH Brian Nichols and RF Danny Santiesteban each had three hits for Newark in defeat.
