Mike Kusiewicz shook off a rough start and completed six innings to help Ottawa defeat Sussex 5-3. Kusiewicz allowed three earned runs in the first inning on four consecutive hits but settled in and did not allow the Skyhawks to score again as he scattered six hits over the next five innings. Ottawa chipped away at the lead with single runs in the second and fourth innings before they took the lead in the bottom of the fifth. After C Kyle Geiger singled home LF Jereme Milons to tie the game, CF Jared Lemieux drew a bases-loaded walk to make the score 4-3 Ottawa. The Rapidz tacked on another run and handed the ball to Angelo Burrows who worked the ninth inning for his third save.

Brian Rodaway was superb for six innings, allowing just three hits and no runs as Atlantic City blanked Nashua 2-0. He struck out seven and walked just one to improve his mark to 4-2 on the season. Kyle George and Derek Duclos pitched the final three innings and preserved the shutout, with Duclos picking up his fourth save. 2B Brad Thoma was the catalyst on offense as he finished 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored. RF Billy Kovatch also had two hits and drove in a run.

Quebec scored all their runs in the sixth inning and Eric Cyr turned in a stellar performance as the Capitales beat Brockton 3-0. Cyr was dominant as he struck out 11 and walked none in eight innings of work. With runners at first and third in the top of the sixth, 3B Patrick Deschenes drove in the game's first run as he reached on a fielder's choice. DH Pat Scalabrini followed with his seventh homer of the year to give Cyr all the run support he'd need. Jason Schutt came on in the ninth inning and set the Rox down in order to earn his fifth save of the season.
