The Sussex Skyhawks got a solid outing from starting pitcher Kyle Ruwe and plenty of offense in support of him to pull within a game of .500. Ruwe allowed three runs on 11 hits and struck out six in eight innings of work to improve to 5-1 on the season. Sussex RF Jorge Moreno and DH Walter Young each hit their fourth home run of the season in the victory. Nashua SS Sandy Almonte was 1-for-4 with a solo home run in the losing effort.

Quebec 7, Ottawa 3 (Top 5 - Suspended)
@ Ottawa, ON.
The game between Quebec and Ottawa was suspended due to rain in the top of the fifth inning with the Capitales leading by a score of 7-3. The completion of the suspended game will take place in Quebec on July 4th followed by the regularly scheduled game.

Worcester LF Francisco Caraballo had a big night at the plate to lead the Tornadoes to victory at home against Brockton. Caraballo was 3-for-4 with a solo home run, his sixth of the year. Worcester starting pitcher Matt Weagle had a good outing. He allowed four runs in the first two innings, but then settled in and held the Rox scoreless through the next five. He struck out five, walked four and scattered nine hits to improve to 5-1 on the year. Tornadoes closer John Birtwell allowed a run in the ninth, but held on for his seventh save.

New Jersey 7, Atlantic City 6

HR: AC-Eddie Kim (3); NJ-Matthew Lauderdale (1)
In dramatic fashion, the New Jersey Jackals rallied from a four-run deficit in the eighth inning to tie the game and won it in the ninth with a walk-off home run by Matt Lauderdale. The comeback spoiled a solid outing by Surf starting pitcher Brian Rodaway. He allowed two runs on eight hits and struck out four in 6 2/3 innings, but did not factor in the decision. New Jersey reliever Rusty Tucker picked up the win, his second. He pitched a scoreless ninth.
