The Nashua Pride, behind a solid pitching performance from Jarrett Stawarz, beat the New Jersey Jackals by a run and sweep the three game series. The win by the Pride was their fourth straight and moves their record over the .500 mark to 10-9. Stawarz pitched six innings allowing only one earned run on six hits with a walk and three strikeouts. His record is now 1-1 on the season. RF Jeremy Pickrel led the way offensively for Nashua as he went 2-for-4 at the plate with a home run, two runs scored and three runs batted in. Pride C Luis Rodriguez chipped in with a two-hit performance with a run scored and a RBI. 3B Chris Kelly went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBI for New Jersey.

Sussex 9, Atlantic City 3

Led by LF Alex Frazier's three-run homerun, the Sussex Skyhawks defeated Atlantic City 9-3. Sussex was out hit 11-8 in the game but got their hits in bunches as they scored seven total runs on five hits in the fourth and fifth innings. Trailing 2-0 with two out in the top of the fourth, RF Jorge Moreno singled and DH Walter Young walked before Frazier homered to left center field to give Sussex a 3-2 lead. In the fifth inning Sussex batted around, collecting three singles and two walks. Combined with an Atlantic City error and a hit batter they put up four more runs to lead 7-2. 1B Matthew Weston had a fine game finishing 2-for-4 with a run scored and CF Ron Perodin went 1-for-4 with a RBI and two runs scored. Kyle Ruwe pitched a complete game, earning his fourth win.

Brockton's Chris McDonough tossed 6 1/3 innings and allowed just one earned run to improve to 3-0 on the year as the Rox beat Ottawa 6-4. Brockton built a 5-0 lead when they scored three times in the fifth inning, using four singles and a two-RBI double by LF Tony Gonzalez to take control of the game. Gonzalez was one of four Brockton players who had two hits in the game. SS Dominic Ramos was 2-for-3 with a run scored; 3B Phillip Cuadrado went 2-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored; and RF Eugene Julien went 2-for-4 with a RBI. Reliever Jerry Dunn worked a 1-2-3 ninth inning for his fifth save of the season.
