3B Pat Deschenes went 3-for-3 with a homerun and a triple to lead Quebec past Atlantic City 7-3. Deschenes was a double shy of the cycle and finished with three runs scored and an RBI. Orlando Trias pitched six innings and allowed three earned runs before the Capitales bullpen threw three scoreless innings to give him his third win with Quebec. Mark James and Jason Schutt struck out six batters in the final three frames. 2B Jean-Michel Salvas homered and drove in two runs and 1B Pat Scalabrini and C Greg Stevens also had two hits in the contest.

New Jersey 4, Worcester 3

New Jersey got balanced production up and down their lineup and Isaac Pavlik scattered 11 hits in seven innings as the Jackals got past Worcester 4-3. 1B Juan Tejeda tripled to drive in two runs while DH Luke Allen and 3B Chris Kelly each tallied two hits to pace the offensive attack for New Jersey. Despite allowing 11 hits, Pavlik surrendered just three earned runs and struck out five to improve to 5-2. Shaun McNamara equaled Pavlik's effort as he went eight innings and also allowed three runs but fell to 2-6. Worcester DH Josh Farkes was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate in defeat.

Ottawa got out the heavy lumber as they blasted five homers, two each from 1B Jabe Bergeron and CF Pete Pirman, enroute to a 9-4 victory at Nashua. Bergeron's roundtrippers came in the two-run first inning that helped the Rapidz grab an early 2-0 lead, and the five-run sixth inning that blew the game open. Adam Hawes went six innings for Ottawa and improved to 3-6. Lance Stevens fell to 4-4. Nashua CF Vinny Pennell went 3-for-4 in a losing effort.

Sussex 2, Brockton 0

CF Ron Perodin went 2-for-4 and scored both Skyhawks runs as Sussex downed Brockton 2-0. In his first start with Sussex, Justin Knoff turned in a superb performance as he struck out six men in six innings and surrendered just four hits. Michael Laluna and Matt Petrusek combined to strike out five more in the final three innings with Petrusek collecting his 12th save. SS Kevin Rios had two hits in the game and RF Jorge Moreno led all batters with a 3-for-4 night at the plate. Stevie Delbar pitched well for Brockton going seven innings and striking out six, but fell to 2-2.
