A sensational performance by Atlantic City starting pitcher Brian Rodaway leads the Surf to victory over the Nashua Pride in game one of the doubleheader. Rodaway hurled a complete game shutout allowing no walks and six hits while fanning eight Pride batters. With the win, Rodaway improved to 10-8 on the season. Atlantic City SS Anthony Granato was the offensive star going a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with two home runs, three runs scored and three RBI. CF Josh Burrus and 1B Eddie Kim chipped in with two hits apiece for the Surf.

Atlantic City 4, Nashua 1 (Game 2 - 7 Innings)

Atlantic City sweeps the doubleheader from the Nashua Pride thanks to a solid outing from starting pitcher JC Huguet. Huguet went five innings allowing only one earned run on two hits with two walks and eight strikeouts. He is now 9-7 on the year. Surf RF Heath Keel led the way offensively going 3-for-4 in the game and scoring two runs. DH Jason Hurst and 3B Gil Zayas each had two hits as well for Atlantic City. C Mike Torres hit his fourth home run of the season for Nashua in defeat.

Brockton 2, Ottawa 1

Brockton RF Dennis Abreu was the difference maker in this game as the Rox edged past the Ottawa Rapidz. Abreu was 2-for-3 on the night with a home run, his fifth with Brockton, and drove in both of their runs. Rox starting pitcher Wayne Lundgren picked up his 10th win of the year going eight solid innings giving up only one earned run on eight hits with a walk and three strikeouts. Rapidz starter Noel Baca hurled seven innings allowing two earned runs on six hits and received the tough luck loss. Ottawa 1B Jabe Bergeron went 3-for-4 and drove in their only run of the game.

The Sussex Skyhawks rolled out to a 5-0 lead after three innings and would cruise from there to double up the New Jersey Jackals. SS Kevin Rios had a terrific game for Sussex going a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with a run scored and four RBI. Skyhawks starter Kyle Ruwe notched his 12th victory of the season going 6 1/3 innings giving up three earned runs on seven hits with four strikeouts. 1B Juan Tejeda had a 3-for-5 night with a run scored and a RBI in the losing effort for New Jersey.
