
Campaign Continues This Weekend

New Orleans Brass News Release
(5/31/02) As the "Save the Brass!" ticket commitment drive continues, Brass captain J.F. Houle and the Krewe of Brass fan club are among those making public appearances this weekend to help keep professional hockey in New Orleans.
Houle will be appearing Saturday, June 1 at A-1 Appliance, 2801 Veterans Blvd. Houle will be available for photos and autographs starting at 1:00pm. Houle also plans to serve as an instructor at the GNO Hockey School's summer sessions, which begin Monday, June 3 at Airline Skate Center. The GNO Hockey School's application deadline is Saturday, June 1.
Also this weekend, the Krewe of Brass continues its efforts to keep Brass hockey in New Orleans. The Krewe will be at Lakeside Mall Friday, May 31 (10:00am â 2:00pm) and Saturday, June 1 (10:00am â 4:00pm) to help the drive for season ticket commitments. The Krewe will have season ticket commitment forms on hand, and Brass staff members will be available for assistance.
The Brass is looking for at least 2,000 season ticket commitments to help facilitate a return to Municipal Auditorium for the 2002-2003 East Coast Hockey League season. Season ticket commitment forms are available at the official web site of the New Orleans Brass: www.brasshockey.com. Forms can also be obtained by calling the Brass office at (504) 522-7825.
