New Orleans Brass News Release
(6/28/02) The New Orleans Brass of the East Coast Hockey League has requested a voluntary suspension in order to have time to pursue an arrangement to play at Municipal Auditorium, contingent upon a vote by the City Council on July 11. The ECHL's Board of Governors has given New Orleans until July 12 to come up with an agreement.
"The City of New Orleans has the opportunity to retain this locally-owned business that provides low-cost entertainment for New Orleans families," stated Vice President/General Manager Dan Belisle. "Obviously, the clock is ticking, and you can be sure that we and our fans will be working tirelessly with the council until July 11 to come to an accomodation that works for everyone."
