
Camp opens for Trax in less than a week

[Macon, Ga.]âIn less than a week, the Macon Trax will open their 2004 training camp in preparation for the season. Head Coach Tommy Stewart will welcome a maximum of 25 players on Sunday, Oct. 24.
When the players arrive to town physical will be administered by team doctor, Jeffery Fried, M.D. and trainer Vonnie Hitchcock, A.T.C. Physicals will be down Sunday afternoon and Coach Stewart will meet his team that night with a players only team meeting.
The hopeful Trax will be on the ice on Monday, Oct. 25 the Trax will skate twice on Macon Centreplex ice. The morning skate will start at 9am while the afternoon session will open at 1:30pm. Both practice sessions are expected to last two hours.
Since the Trax home ice is being taken over by Disney on Ice, the Trax will travel to Columbus, Ga. to finish camp on enemy ice. Macon will hold camp at the Columbus Civic Center Tuesday, Oct. 26 and Wednesday, Oct. 27. Each day the Trax will take the ice starting at 1pm.
The Trax and Cottonmouths will face off in a pre-season game Oct. 27 at 6pm in Columbus. The game will be open to the public free of charge.
The Trax begin their 2004-05 season with a six game road trip on Oct. 29 and Oct. 30 in Huntsville and Columbus respectively. The Trax will debut on home ice Saturday, Nov. 20 against the Columbus Cottonmouths at 7:05 pm. Check the Trax website at www.macontrax.com for a complete schedule.
Make sure to reserve your season tickets and single game tickets for the 2004-05 season. The Trax open their home schedule on November 20 against the Columbus Cottonmouths. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Trax office at (478) 742-4849. Season tickets start as low as $99 and single game tickets are only $6.
