Peterborough Petes News Release

(Peterborough, ON)- The Peterborough Petes are excited to announce that members of the 1995 Peterborough Petes team will perform the ceremonial puck drop before Tuesday's Game Three against the Oshawa Generals.

Cameron Mann, Mike Williams, Briane Thompson, and Zac Bierk will be on hand for the ceremony. In 1995, the fifth-ranked Petes upset a top-seeded Oshawa Generals squad in the first round of the playoffs. The Petes climbed out of a 3-2 hole in the series and beat the Gens in Oshawa in Game Seven, with Mann scoring the game-winning goal.

Prior to the second period, the Petes will recognize local hero Nate Sage, a local 8-year old who saved his father's life last November. At the conclusion of tonight's game, the Petes Morphmen will be distributing Easter candy to fans, and they will also participate in the first intermission Easter egg hunt activity with several lucky Petes fans.

Fans are reminded to attend the free FanFlare Playoff Kickoff Party in the Morrow Building from 5-6:30pm featuring a performance by the Austin Carson Band, free face painting and sign making, bouncy castles courtesy of Bouncers R Us, the FanFlare promo team, Extra 90.5fm tailgate show, and much more. Food and beverage at this licenced will be available for purchase.
